Yeo Valley Brands
Yeo Valley Organic has become the best-known organic brand in Britain but Yeo Valley started life in 1974 producing yogurt for retailers' own brands and this remains a core part of the business. These days, a "value" (cheap and perhaps not so cheerful) yogurt on a retailer's shelves is probably made on the continent but the increasingly innovative ranges of value-added yogurts and mousses are likely to originate from Yeo Valley's Blagdon dairy.
A brand is also produced there for independent retailers and food service customers - Ubley yogurt is named after a neighbouring village and is becoming increasingly popular.
At Yeo Valley's Newton Abbot dairy, the Rocombe brand of premium organic ice cream has developed from its humble Devon farm beginnings, with a new look to its packaging introduced in 2005.
Finally, there is a non-food brand that shares Yeo Valley's Mendip Centre Head Office – The Lakewood Conference Centre operates as an independent operation within Holt Farms Ltd but shares the superb views across the Yeo Valley at Blagdon.
