At Yeo Valley we are independent, British & proud to be making the highest quality yogurts, desserts & ice cream for the Yeo Valley Organic and Ubley brands as well as for many of the UK’s major retailers.  Operating from 4 dairies & 2 logistics centres in rural Somerset & Devon, we employ 1400 staff & produce more than 22% of the UK’s yogurt.

Role:

Reporting into the Head of Procurement, leading a team of 4 raw material and packaging controllers and working with our suppliers, you will be responsible for ensuring that we have:

• ‘The right products, in the right place, at the right time and at the right cost’
• across a range of over 1,000 packaging lines
• 400 fruit preparations
• and numerous other raw materials and ingredients
• that have a combined cost to the business of over £130M per annum

Initially you will take responsibility for the raw materials, fruit and ingredients replenishment and then in the near future you will take responsibility for packaging replenishment as well.

A key part of your role will be to constantly monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the systems and processes used within the department and for identifying opportunities to make improvements wherever possible.

Skills required:

• Graduate Calibre
• Have drive, determination & high level of self motivation
• Experience of Food Industry Procurement would be an advantage
• Excellent numeracy, literacy, analytical and presentation skills
• Strong ITC Skills (Spreadsheets, Word Processing, PowerPoint, MS office/Outlook)
• Full Driving Licence
