The Cannington dairy has made cheese and other dairy products since the 1930's and has grown dramatically since its purchase from Dairy Crest in 1997. Today it produces Yeo Valley Organic's big-pot yogurts, as well as those for a number of retailer brands, plus the innovative 'Yeos' organic children's yogurt tubes.
The dairy's picturesque location - surrounded by organic meadows, close to the Quantock Hills - believe its importance as a significant producer of quality yogurt. It operates on a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week basis to meet demand, but its small-batch production methods ensure product quality is untarnished by modern 'processing aid' ingredients (they simply aren't necessary).
